Hi everyone. I have been busy for a while and have not written anything for you people. So to make up for the lost time, today I will be giving you some Face pack for dry skin in summer at home which I used and got great results.  So I hope this summer beauty tips will make you look beautiful.

Face pack for dry skin in Summer at home

Well, summers are meant to be sweaty and oily but those are limited to places that have humid summers.

However, if you live in a place that has dry summers then these face packs will keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.

I have researched a bit about the ingredients and tried to keep it all natural and easy to find. 

The main ingredients in these face packs are Aloe Vera and Cucumber.

As you know both these have high water content and they can cool irritated and sun-burnt skin pretty well.

Glow with Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera – This is now the most commonly used natural product in cosmetics. The reason for this is that it has a soothing effect on the skin and has a lot of water in it.

It can be used in its natural state as well as in the gel forms available in the departmental stores throughout the world.

Simply applying Aloe Vera will smooth your skin but it will not keep it hydrated for long.

Hence we add some other ingredients to keep the skin hydrated for the whole day.

Butter – Mix one tablespoon of Aloe vera gel with a half teaspoon of unmelted butter and make it into a paste. Then apply this paste over the dried portion of the skin or face evenly.

Wait till the pack dries completely before washing it off with slightly warm water.  You will have well hydrated and glowing skin. Repeat this mask every two days for best results.                                                   

Coconut oil – Coconut oil is a natural hydrant on its own. Mix one tablespoon of aloe vera gel with a half teaspoon of solid coconut oil and whip it into a paste.

Apply the paste to your face and skin and wash it down with warm water after 10 minutes. Your skin will feel soft and baby-smooth. Repeat this mask every alternate day for best results.   

Honey – Honey is known to be a natural moisturizer. It is sticky but when included in a face pack, it works wonders on your skin.

Mix one tablespoon of Aloe vera with one teaspoon of honey and massage it on your skin for about 2 minutes. Let the mixture remain on your skin for about 10 minutes and then wash it with cold water.

Do not wait for the mixture to dry up on your skin because honey will never dry up. You can apply this mask every day to get a hydrated glowing face.

Sandalwood – Sandalwood is natural coolant and comes in two forms; stick and powder. If you have powder then mix one tablespoon of Aloe vera gel with half a tablespoon of sandalwood powder.

Mix it gently and apply it on the face. Then wait for it to dry completely. If you have the sandalwood stick, then rub the stick on a polished rock surface with 2-3 drops of water to make a thick paste and mix one tablespoon of Aloe vera gel to the paste.

Apply this to your face and wait for it to dry completely.

Once the pack is dry, wet your hands and rub it in an upward motion. This pack will not only cool your skin, but it will also make your skin soft by exfoliating the dead skin from it.

Glow with Cucumber

Cucumber – Cucumber is the most sought after veggie in the summers. It is a warehouse for lots of water and minerals. It is also best to use cucumber if you have dry and sensitive skin.

Oats – This pack will serve best for beauties with dry and flaky skin as it works both as a pack and as a scrub. Just add a tablespoon of cucumber paste to one teaspoon of freshly ground oats. Apply it to your skin and wait for 20-30 minutes. Now gently massage the face in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes and wash off with cold water. Voila!!! You will have the freshness of baby smooth and hydrated skin.

Sugar – Sugar is a natural exfoliant but has to be used with great caution as it may cause damage to the skin if massaged too much. Add a teaspoon of sugar to a tablespoon of cucumber paste and rub it gently on to your skin for 2-3 minutes. Then leave the mixture on for another 15-20 minutes. Finally, wash it off with cold water to get smooth and evenly hydrated skin.

Watermelon – This is a face pack that is safe to use for sensitive skin types. People with sensitive skin will know that not many products are compatible for use on their skin. However, cucumber and watermelon are both water-based products which will not irritate your skin at all. Add a spoon of watermelon paste to a spoon of cucumber paste and swirl it a bit. Use a cotton ball or a face pack brush to apply the mixture on dry skin and wait for it to dry off completely. Now wash it off with cold water to see a non-irritated glowing skin

Aloe vera – I saved the best for the last. This pack is a mixture of both goodies full of moisture. It will not only hydrate and cool your skin but will hydrate it as well. Mix cucumber paste and Aloe vera in equal amounts to make a paste and apply it to your skin. Wait till it dries off and then wash it with cold water. Touch your skin to feel that non-oily moisturized skin.

So there you go. These are some of the basic face packs which you can use in dry summers to make your skin smooth, supple and hydrated. As I mentioned earlier all the ingredients are natural and easy to get. Also, it doesn’t take much time to prepare and is very suitable for people with hectic schedules.

Oh, I almost forgot!!! A free tip for all beauties out there. Your skin needs to be hydrated from inside-out if you want to beat the heat. So drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits and veggies that contain mostly water and you will emerge a winner against the summer heat.
