Hello ladies. A few days back I met one of my college friend who did her treatment for PCOS. She looks very fatty and not looking nice. So today we will discuss 5 things you must know about PCOS and how to cure pcos. So let’s start the topic.

Before we start let me ask a few questions to you today.

What is PCOS ?

Basically, your ovaries have developed few cysts inside them that are not normal and this has resulted in your hormone levels getting whacked up.

So now you have more male hormones than female hormones.

PCOS do not have a specific cause and they might be triggered in your teens or in your late 30s depending on your lifestyle choices and your heredity.

As I said earlier, the symptoms are weight gain, hair loss, skin pigmentation, irregular periods, heavy or spotting during periods, hair gain on face or other regions of your body but not the scalp, dark skin in the folds of your body etc.

What are the health risks if you have PCOS?

The cysts in the ovaries are not harmful on their own but they cause serious hormone imbalance which in turn results in serious problems like diabetes due to insulin resistance, high blood pressure due to obesity, early onset of menopause and so on.

PCOS may cause infertility and ovarian cancer if left untreated for a long time.

As you know these health risks are really serious and will lead to a life full of medications. So it is better to avoid them at all costs.

What are the ways to reverse PCOS?

First of all, book an appointment with your Gynecologist. An ultrasound will easily reveal the stage your ovarian cysts are in.

Next, focus on controlling your diet, eat more green vegetables, avoid sugary items, avoid transfat and cholesterol and reduce your plate size but eat more often.

This will not only increase your metabolism but will also cut down the fat deposits in your body thereby controlling your weight.

Exercise is a must for ladies with PCOS as it increases blood circulation in the body and enables the hormones to maintain their regular levels.

At least 30-35 mins of cardio exercises everyday is recommended if you want to beat PCOS.

Even though your weight has increased due to your PCOS, the best way to treat your PCOS is to lose weight.

You just have to follow one mantra: eat right and exercise daily.

What are the steps needed to be taken to avoid PCOS?

If you do not PCOS yet, then congrats. You are already leading a healthy lifestyle and there are no indicators of PCOS in your heredity.
